The mayor of the Bamenda II sub-divisional council, Peter Chenwi has received royal blessings from the Fon of Nkwen, HRH Fon Azehfor III.
This was during the royal visit of Fon Azehfor III to the residence of the Bamenda II mayor at GRA upstation Bamenda on Friday July 2, 2021.
The Fon of Nkwen and other members of his royal family appreciated Mayor Chenwi Peter for his achievements as Mayor of Bamenda II council, before pouring his royal blessings on the mayor and his family to cleanse all the mishaps that has befallen him and his family during this crisis period.
Since he was voted mayor of Bamenda II, Chenwi Peter has overcome threats and attacks from separatist fighters, survived gun attacks and his residence in Nkwen was equally burnt.
However, Mayor Chenwi Peter and his family appreciated the Fon for always being by them and described his coming to their home as a blessing.
The development oriented mayor since his coming into office has won several awards and recognitions for his development strides within the Bamenda II municipality.
