Journalists, CSOs Sharpen Skills on 'Do No Harm Principle' in Buea

Some 35 journalists and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) drawn from different parts of the Southwest Region have built their capacities on the principle of 'DO No Harm'.

This was during a one-day training organized by the Southwest Chapter of the Cameroon Community Media Network (CCMN), at the PCC Pesh Guest House in Buea, Wednesday, October 13, 2021.

Seasoned trainer cum National Coordinator for the Civil Peace Service (CPS), Florentine Fandio Nekdem, drilled the community media professionals on various aspects of the principle including Connectors and Dividers, amongst others.

"In the principle of Do No Harm', humanitarian actors take into consideration assistance that does not breed any form of danger to the beneficiaries," she intimated.

The training organized on the heels of the second  Regional network meeting for 2021, allowed the members of the network to review the gains made within the year, as well as make proposals geared towards attaining the greater goal of a peaceful society.

The network meeting was opened by the PCC Peace National Coordinator, Rev Nta Williams, who reiterated the strong chemical bond between his office and CCMN.
