Just like other churches, Presbyterian Church Nitob Mankon has celebrated Christmas in a full Sunday-like service, Saturday 25th December 2021.
Drawing inspiration from Titus 2:11-14, the Rev Shu Lawrence, Parish pastor of PC Nitob Mankon, in his sermon called on Christians to see Christmas as grace because Christ coming was an act of grace.
He added that Christ came to set us free and so we have not to just live by grace but live in grace.
In the course of the service, the more than 30 Adults and Infants who were either Baptised or confirmed on Christmas eve, came in with their thanksgiving after which, the whole church joined them in what was called, visiting the baby Jesus.
There was singing and dancing as everyone went up to the altar and shared the gifts that comprised sweets and biscuits.
Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, observed primarily on December 25th as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world.
