The South West, North West Women's Taskforce with its acronym SNWOT, has voted into office for the next two years an executive bureau, aimed at overseeing activities of the organization. The executive bureau was voted during the 2021 General Assembly that held in Douala on the 5th and 6th of January 2022.
During the election, Ms. Serah Derval Ephosi Lifanda was voted as General Coordinator replacing Mrs. Sally Mboumien. She is expected to work in close collaboration with Mrs. Gladys Foncham, Secretary General, Ms. Delphine Mbongue Chief Financial Officer, Mrs. Manka Tabuwe Akwo, Communication and Advocacy Lead, Mrs. Constance Kamga, Focal Point Centre, and Mrs. Josephine Yelang, Focal Point Littoral.
Ms. Emily Miki was voted Regional Coordinator of the South West replacing President-elect Ms. Serah Derval Ephosi Lifanda, while Mme. Clotilda Andiensa retained her position as Regional Coordinator for the North West region.
While addressing the Assembly in her acceptance speech, the newly elected General Coordinator Ms. Serah Derval Ephosi Lifanda promised to increase SNWOT's relevance amongst grassroots women as well as engage with more national and international partners for effective localized peacebuilding.
The North West, South West Women's Taskforce is an association that was formed in 2018, calling for peaceful conflict resolution in the North West and South West regions, hard hit by the ongoing Socio-political unrest.
