Eyong Taku, Winner of the March edition of the Digital Literacy Contest

Eyong Taku has been named the winner of the March edition of the Digital Literacy contest organized by Sisterspeak237. 

The information which was made public on a release dated April 24, 2022, stated that the level 200 student of Pharmaceutical Technology at Gracious Higher Institute of Excellence, submitted a video entry titled "Fake news"

According to Sisterspeak237, this contestant just like the previous two winners of January and February had a mastery of the subject matter.

"The winner like those in the previous two sessions demonstrated an understanding of how to combat fake news, misinformation, and Hate Speech", the release affirmed.

The contest is part of the  Digital Literacy project under implementation with funds from the US Embassy in Cameroon.

The project started with the training of 46 youths and influencers in the South West region on the concepts of Fake News, misinformation, and Hate Speech. At the end of the training in Buea, Cameroon, the participants took a commitment to use technology for the promotion of peace and truth.

The Sisterspeak237 Digital Literacy Contest began in January with spoken word poet Penboy emerging as the maiden winner. While the February edition was won by Ngwa Norah.


The April edition of the contest which happens to be the last has been launched and entries are expected till May 8, 2022.
