The President of Vision Sports FC Bamenda, the lone national female division one club in the North West region,  Jephter Pase, has beckoned on the elite of the North West region and persons of goodwill who are lovers of football to support the club as they begin their third year in the top tier of Cameroon's female championship.

Jephter Pase made the plea Thursday, April 14, 2022, during a press conference at the team's headquarters in Bamenda.

Asked about where the team gets its funding and if the club receives support from the elite of the region, especially the female elite, Jephter Pase revealed that the team is yet to receive their support. He disclosed that the team has been surviving on his finances and subsection from the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT.

He appreciated Minister Atanga Nji Paul who supported the team in 2019 during the female national interpools in Dibombari, Littoral region. The support he highlighted went a long way to motivate the girls to grab the elite one ticket.

"When the team returned from the national interpools in 2019, the governor of the region, Adolphe Lele Afrique, supported us financially. We appreciate him", Jephter Pase said.

He also cited the management of Yong Sports Academy and the Regional President of FECAFOOT Mbigha Njah Felix.

Football, especially female football in the region has not benefitted from support from the elite just like the male.

In 2013 and 2022, North West Governor Adolphe Lele Afrique galvanized a lot of support for Yong Sports Academy and PWD Social Football Club of Bamenda. At least something can be done to salvage the image of Vision Sports and other female football teams in the region.

Vision Sports finished 6th in the 12-team championship last term and hopes to end in a championship contenders spot this year.
